Sun. 3.November
21:00 Bob Berg Quartet USA
Bob Berg: saxophone
David Kikoski: piano
Edward Howard: bass
Gary Novak: drums
Bob Berg is one of the saxophonists who reached a wide public alongside Miles Davis, thus
joining the company of such illustrious prototypes as Wayne Shorter and John Coltrane.
Incidentally, Berg succeeded Bill Evans, who shone in the 1980s in Davis' Comeback Band.
During his Davis period, Berg certainly also benefited from his co-work with Mike Stern,
which resulted in numerous recordings. As of 1992, the tenorist participated in Chick
Corea's acoustic quartet and established his own ensemble on the side
(his album "Back Road" received a Grammy Award nomination as best contemporary jazz
performance of 1993). This is the quartet which Bob Berg is bringing to us now. To
guarantee undisturbed listening pleasure, we recommend that you reserve your table
well ahead of time.
