The military helped out at the performance by filling a few rows because the guests were offended by the empty seats. You can say that here in Israel people are not well-disposed towards the more avantgarde European jazz. You hardly saw any Israeli jazz musicians; they lost out... Those who understood something about it were absolutely enthusiastic. The rest gradually stood up and left. The name Vienna Art could have been misleading for the good "BŸrger" who came expecting to hear something classical. After the concert, it was especially quiet in the theater, foyer and outside... a festive silence. Ha« Ir, Jerusalem 1989
