Nader Mashayekhi, born and raised in Persia, has lived and worked for a long time in Vienna where he also furiously went about learning his musical handicraft at the national academy for performing arts. This process he managed to survive without any serious ill effects.

Nader M. is the founder of a wonderful ensemble (primarily) for contemporary music. He has survived leadership of the Ensemble 2001 without any serious ill effects.

Nader M. is bethrothed to the brilliant, highly-musical flutist Gisela M. who you will even have a chance to hear tonight. Nader M. had also (easily) survived his musically-active conjugal life without any serious ill effects.

Nader M. is an affectionate father. He manages to find the time and patience for his little son on a daily basis. To date, he has also survived the upbringing of his child, without any serious ill effects.

Nader M. is a wonderful composer. He works calmly and steadily on his musical concepts and polished sound. The oriental magic derived from an inner composure is evident in the complex structure of his varied works. Nader M. has also survived his composing without suffering any serious ill effects.

Nader Mashayekhi is an enigma. And therefore a great artist. We can only hope that he will also survive this evening devoted to the prolific songwriters Heino and Heintje without any serious ill effects.
