21:00 A Focus On Frank Schwinn

A Focus On is the series in which we turn the spotlight on the most exceptional representatives of the young "Jazz & Music" scene. This month -- after Alexander Machacek, Reinhard Micko, Lorenz Raab and before Martin Siewerts, Walter Fischbacher (or perhaps Albin Janoska, Gregor Hilbe, Claus Raible and and and) -- we're featuring Frank Schwinn. Here, Schwinn -- the Vienna-based guitarist from Germany -- will demonstrate his unusual approach to leading a band, which this time comprises a few other top notch instrumentalists: violin experimentalist and pedagogue Andy Schreiber; Achim Tang, the bass all-rounder from Berlin; and the Puerto Rican percussionist Leopoldo Fleming, who also was/is highly appreciated by Mingus, Randy Weston and Nina Simon. Check It Out!
