21:00 Seamus Blake's Bloomdaddies GB/USA

"He's one of the biggest talents I've ever heard", John Scofield raved about the English-born Seamus Blake, who followed in the footsteps of the great Joe Lovano, within Scofield's band. Bloomdaddies is the name of Blake's own ensemble, which includes a couple representatives of the younger Power Generation from the New York jazz scene: Chris Cheek, who - primarily through his work with Wolfgang Muthspiel - already should be known by many; Jesse Murphy, who has played alongside Billy Higgins and Cedar Walton; plus drummers Reiser and Rossy. A Double Band, that plays a refreshingly unconventional type of "funky alternative grunge jazz" (in the estimation of Downbeat ). Check It Out! CH

24:00 GuitarNightLine Andy Bartosh Trio Infernale

Andy Bartosh has had enough of the 3-minute limit maintained by pop music. Therefore, for the upcoming NightLines, he has formed an infernal trio which will treat a maximum of 5 tunes in the highly-favored 45 minute segment. They may, however, give into popular pressure and oblige us with a 6th. Mr. Pop goes Jazz! CH
