"God intended man to be a sensible creature. The ability to reason is Man's greatest privilege; but deep in his nature, he is still an animalistic being, a beast with vitality and lust for life. To be sensible only because you've missed the chance to be animal, vigorously bestial, simply due to a lack of understanding - to be senselessly sensible - is hardly to your credit." (Egon Fridell)
Nouvelle Cuisine, is composed of 18 music-makers or, in Egon's terms, of 18 grooving beasts; 18 more or less cultivated, roisterous animalistic beings supposedly endowed with the ability to reason. With this in mind, animal trainers Mühlbacher/Cech can certainly be admired for the way they lovingly tame the inner bestial nature of this sound-menagerie with their own complicated, self-penned compositions. So exciting and noisy as to be almost beastly and unbearable! Only Egon could say if this is what God intended! Come together - heavy weather! RD
