21:00 ZOSB feat. Steve Noble & Otomo Yoshihide A/J/GB

"The idea that this great Null which we call Humankind is what decides how the world turns is the crassest, stupidest form of self-adulation; a life philosophy suited only for a business group, bank consortium or bowling club. Yes, you could go so far as to say: if you don't know you're a fool, not only are you not an artist; you don't know anything about life." (Egon Fridell)

The idea that this great Null which we call ZOSB is not what decides how the world turns is the crassest, stupidest fallacy. ZOSB is a life philosophy - not a business group or bank consortium and certainly not a bowling club. Yes, Egon can go so far as to say: if you don't know you've got ZOSB, not only are you not an artist; you simply don't know anything about life. Furthermore, as Egon intoned into the 1908 spring wind, you certainly don't know anything about women. Today: ZOSB plus some special guests, bringing us music for and by fools who know they're human as well as artists. RD

"God intended man to be a sensible creature. The ability to reason is Man's greatest privilege; but deep in his nature, he is still an animalistic being, a beast with vitality and lust for life. To be sensible only because you've missed the chance to be animal, vigorously bestial, simply due to a lack of understanding - to be senselessly sensible - is hardly to your credit." (Egon Fridell)

Nouvelle Cuisine, is composed of 18 music-makers or, in Egon's terms, of 18 grooving beasts; 18 more or less cultivated, roisterous animalistic beings supposedly endowed with the ability to reason. With this in mind, animal trainers Mühlbacher/Cech can certainly be admired for the way they lovingly tame the inner bestial nature of this sound-menagerie with their own complicated, self-penned compositions. So exciting and noisy as to be almost beastly and unbearable! Only Egon could say if this is what God intended! Come together - heavy weather! RD
