21:00 Special Reserve Cornelia Giese's Bon Voyage
"Someday two branches might develop, one leading to specific female occupations in which understanding and versatility are the fundamentals and the other - to put it briefly - male occupations concerned with creative nonsense. Man's chief duty will always be to defend the human right to engage in nonsense. Without the prerogative for imperfection, we'd have no art, no science, no philosophy or erotics: we'd have nothing more than a lot of misdirected attempts at trying to scramble through life and to transform it." (Egon Fridell)
Isn't defense of the human right to engage in nonsense one of the chief duties of a string bassist/male musician? The eso-erotic fact that we'll have three man(ic) muses at play here will tip that side of the musical scale, but luckily a crucial counterweight will be provided by the astute and circumspect Cornelia Giese who will elevate the tone artistically with her sensitive vocal support. Because although we know, thanks to Egon, that male musicians represent a lot of misdirected attempts at scrambling through life and transforming it, without bass pluckers, tin & skin rappers and sitters of rotating stools there would be no art, science, philosophy or erotics!
