Greetje Bijma (still) counts among the most promising female vocalists European jazz has to offer yet no one can say she's "unknown" any longer. Among other things, she has sung in Alan Laurillard's Noodband and has worked with Han Bennink and Ernst Reijseger, plus she has taken part in David Moss' project "Five Voices" and in numerous programs by the Willem Breuker Collective. Her cooperation with Jasper Van't Hof and Pierre Favre also deserves mention, as does her trio work with Mark Dresser and Marilyn Crispell. Her vocal capabilities come across strongest, however, when she's standing alone onstage. Come let yourself be seduced by one of Europe's most expressive voices!! CH
