According to US immigration policy, anyone entering the country on a tourist visa, which temporarily replaces the coveted Green Card, must leave the country again within six months. This, combined with the tug of family ties (which jazz musicians may also still feel) means that many NY emigrants tend to show up around here at Christmas time. Chief among them this year is Joris Dudli, initiator and long-term driving force behind the Wednesday sessions, who is checking in at P&B after a long absence to act once again as Master of Ceremonies.
