The Vienna-based Australian flutist Katrina E. provides recompense for a public just recovering from the mega-disappointment of Atlanta by holding her own highly-interesting musical Olympics, Sydney style. Here, last season's international climber -- the Paris-based Vietnamese guitarist Nguyen Le -- will display various facets of his many-sided capabilities, presenting three totally different programs on three evenings alongside a wide variety of supporting musicians. These include Mario Gonzi, Thomas Lang, Oliver Kent, and the Upper Austrian singer Harry A. Hammer. At this year's Saalfelden Jazz Festival, Nguyen created another sensation with his "Tales From Vietnam". MR
