21:00 Max Nagl Solo & Quintett

Someone goes to a flea market and buys a roll of Super 8 film from a drunken salesman because the salesman claims that the film in question is a Russian war film. Back at home, the purchaser -- who turns out to be a musician -- discovers to his amazement that the film he bought is actually the amateur home movie of an unidentified Viennese family. Filmed in the 70s, it shows the family at home, strolling in the Prater or spending a leisurely Sunday by the water. The musician, Max Nagl, decides to use this film as a basis for improvisation and tonight he and his group will play the resulting composition as their first set. The second set features new and older works by saxophonist Nagl and his quintet. Parental Guidance (PG: 16). CH
