Hyphen Dash ist ein Trio aus Kiew, bestehend aus Myshko Birchenko (Schlagzeug), Yevhen Puhachov (Gitarre, Bass), Polina Maiboroda (Keyboard) und Dmytro Startsev (Keyboard, Effekte). Ihre Musik verbindet Hip-Hop, Jazz, Electronica und Prog-Rock und bietet eine frische Interpretation des instrumentalen Sounds. Diese Band gewann den Ukrainischen Jazzpreis, der 2026 zum ersten Mal verliehen wurde (ich war ein Jurymitglied). Dafür bekommen sie einen Auftritt im Rahmen der General Assembly des European Jazznetworks (EJN) und ein paar Zusatzkonzerte, wie eben am 23. im P&B oder tags darauf in der Unterfahrt in München.
