• Miman is an improvising trio consisting of fiddler Hans Kjorstad, clarinetist Andreas Røysum and bassist Egil Kalman. Their sound is shaped by their diverse backgrounds and influences; elements of Norwegian and Indian traditional tonality blends seamlessly with sentiments aching to free jazz and contemporary music in an organic fashion that steers clear of the dogmatic.
Even though they love to play trio, Miman occasionally invite guests like Tristan Honsinger, Axel Dörner and Michael Griener, in addition to taking part in both Alasdair Roberts & Völvur and Marthe Lea Band.
The trio has over the past four years played around a hundred concerts in Europe, and will in November 2020 release their third LP, following 2018´s "Ulme" and 2019´s "Stora mängder rymdgrus“. (Pressetext)
