P&B-Team

Despite our best efforts, it was ultimately impossible to obtain a visa for Afel Bocoum, which means that the concert as part of the Sababu Festival unfortunately cannot take place. Bassita Dao will step in as a replacement. We’re sorry, but with such high bureaucratic hurdles, we’re unfortunately powerless to do anything... P&B Team

We start the live stream approx. 1/2 hour before the concert begins (real time, no longer available after the end of the concert). By clicking on "Go to livestream" a window will open where you can watch the concert free of charge and without any registration. However, we kindly ask you to support this project via "Pay as you wish". Thank you & welcome to the real & virtual club!

Adama Dicko & Sahel Melodies
A musical collective that celebrates the melodies, stories, and folklore of the nomadic peoples of the vast Sahel region of West Africa. Sahel Melodies is a movement of unity, resilience, and shared narratives. As in its original cultural context, it is music for everyone and with everyone – it embraces every listener, regardless of background, with melodies and stories that transcend boundaries. The collective carries on this spirit and creates a nomad-inspired collaboration across cultures, languages, and generations – a soundscape that belongs to everyone.

Bassita Dao
Bassita is a singer, dancer, choreographer, and actress. Born into a griot family in Bobo-Dioulasso, she was introduced to traditional artistic disciplines at an early age. At the age of 14, she joined professional ballet companies (Amoro, Koba) and won first prizes. She then joined various percussion groups, going on tour, including to Europe. As an actress, she is a member of the “9 et demi” company and has worked with renowned West African artists, including in France and Algeria. As a musician, she is at home on stages across West Africa and, increasingly, Europe as well.
