My desire to establish myself more clearly as a composer led to the creation of this quintet. Musically, we operate within the realm of modern and contemporary jazz, incorporating many groovy elements and placing a special focus on rhythmic exploration.

The project name “Blow Up 5tet” refers to Michelangelo Antonioni’s film *Blow-Up* (1966). The term “blow-up” comes from photography and refers to the significant enlargement of an image or a small section of it to make a detail more clearly visible. This process often results in the image losing sharpness and the grain or pixel structure becoming visible.
