He has perfected an immediately recognizable, unique approach and his very personal handwriting in improvisation - without ever leaving or losing the basics, the traditions and the grounding. Being son of a gospel church organist, he grew up with gospels and spirituals – and recorded 1990 a unique own Spirituals album.

CHANDA RULE is probably one of the most promising hidden gems among modern jazz vocalists. Chanda performs deeply rooted in gospel and jazz, she carries the soul in her heart and touches the audience with the clarity and beauty of her jazz phrasings.
