Das Ueberschall uses authentic flamenco rhythms such as the rumba and the buleria, and combines these with swing elements such as walking bass lines and bebop runs. The CD „This Is Flamenco Jazz“ features Monk’s „Round Midnight“, Miles Davis’ „So What“ and „Blue In Green“ and „Dolphin Dance“ by Herbie Hancock, among others. Included as well are two Dirk K original compositions. Acoustic Journey's unique approach towards these jazz standards is innovative and original. With bassist Joerg Kleutgens and percussionist Marco Minnemann „This Is Flamenco Jazz“ is truly a modern masterpiece.
