Dieses Zitat der legendären Tänzerin und Choreographin aus New York hat mich oft motiviert und ist daher eine wesentliche Inspiration für dieses Album. Ich wünsche mir, mit meiner Musik ebenso etwas auslösen zu können, wie es die Ideen und Gedanken dieser wahren Künstlerin bei mir getan haben. Musik ist für mich der direkteste Weg mit „dem, das wichtiger ist, als alles andere“ in Kontakt zu treten. Das ist meine Definition von Spiritualität. Ich glaube nicht, dass man sie wirklich teilen kann. Aber ich glaube, die Herausforderung für einen Künstler sollte immer sein, transzendent zu werden und so den Rezipienten seiner Kunst mit Höherem zu verbinden. Wenn ich neue Musik komponiere, möchte ich damit eine Geschichte erzählen und stelle dabei Startpunkte für Improvisationen zusammen, die den Faden weiter spinnen können. Dieses Album ist eine Sammlung von Stücken, die neue Erfahrungen anbieten wollen – voller positiver Energie, starken Gedanken und Vitality. (Lorenz Hargassner)
