Bereits mit seinem Projekt „Dirigo Rataplan“ (Skirl Records, 2012) featuring Ellery Eskelin, Dave Ballou und Michael Formanek hat der junge Brooklyn based Drummer und Komponist Devin Gray aufhorchen lassen. Mit „RelativE ResonancE“ (Skirl Records, 2015) landete er einmal mehr einen Coup. All that Jazz schreibt: „As complex and highly structured as Gray's music can be, there's a palpable human warmth throughout Relative Resonance which makes the music – in spite of its ultra-busy, highly demanding nature – kind of easy on the ears. There's just a tremendous amount of information in each of these tracks. It's almost overwhelming.“

Auf Initiative der Jeunesse geht Devin Gray´s RelativE ResonancE mit aktuellem Line-up nun erstmals auf Europatournee: Mit dabei Chris Speed, „one of the principal figures in a dynamic left-of-center jazz/improv scene in the city” (NY Times), am Bass kein geringerer als der meisterhafte Drew Gress (hochgeschätzter Partner von John Abercrombie, Fred Hersch, Ralph Alessi, Uri Caine, Tim Berne, Don Byron u.v.a.m.) sowie dem Wahlösterreicher Peter Madsen, der ab den 80ern ebenfalls maßgeblich in der New Yorker Musikszene aktiv war.
