Durch die ganze Platte zieht sich ein Gospel-Vibe, der stark von den Background-Vocals geprägt ist. In meinen Arrangements habe ich versucht das Band-Kollektiv ins Zentrum zu rücken. Anstatt instrumentaler Soloeinlagen wollte ich ausloten, was mit einer hervorragenden Live-Band alles möglich ist. Die Band spielt mit Tempo, Dynamik und Stimmung, dass es eine Freude ist.
Als Produzent wollte ich ein Statement setzen – auf alle Tricks und Gimmicks wurde bewusst verzichtet. Wir haben uns im Kreis aufgestellt und in zwei Tagen die Platte live auf ein 8-Spur Tonbandgerät aufgenommen.
Das Ding atmet, pumpt, ist direkt und kommt mit ganz viel Mojo daher.
