Losing themselves in the moment together and finding each other in music is the ambitious goal to which the two Viennese musicians have dedicated themselves.

Max Tschida and Tobias Faulhammer have been working on music together for over ten years – international concert tours have already taken the young musicians to Portugal, Sicily, Brazil, Palestine, China, Paris and Switzerland – and now the duo’s first joint album “Rise and Shine” is released. Lyrical melodies paired with complex harmonies and extended improvisations, always searching for the essence, the meaning, the eidos (the “idea”) of music.

Max Tschida and Tobias Faulhammer communicate on a higher level of perception, beyond the everyday, beyond objective categories. In their joint work, the two experienced musicians continually find new ways to break out of common patterns and tread new paths in the moment. In their music they show courage to reduce without losing sight of the relationship between tension and relaxation. In doing so, the artistic goal is never finally reached, but is constantly redefined.
