MUK.jazz.festival 2024
Der Studiengang Jazz der MUK Wien, eine der international führenden Jazzausbildungsstätten, präsentiert sich zum Semesterausklang an fünf Tagen mit einer opulenten Werkschau im Porgy & Bess: Im Rahmen des MUK.jazz.festivals präsentieren sich die aktuellen Absolvent*innen in öffentlichen Bachelor- und Masterkonzerten. Dabei zeigen sie in hochkarätigen Bands ihr persönliches musikalisches Profil und treten an, die Bühne zu erobern. Ein weiteres Highlight ist der letzte Tag des Festivals, an dem das MUK.jazzorchestra unter der Leitung von der international renommierten Komponistin und Pianistin Nikki Iles, der diesjährigen Artist in Residence des Studiengangs, das erarbeitete Programm zum Besten gibt.

The jazz course at MUK Vienna, one of the leading international jazz training institutions, will be presenting an opulent five-day showcase at Porgy & Bess at the end of the semester: the MUK.jazz.festival will present a program full of joyful playing in a wide variety of musical styles and will include jazz choir, big band and ensemble concerts of the highest standard. The students demonstrate the full diversity of the training at the MUK - from traditional swing, bebop and hard bop to free and avant-garde sounds, everything is represented. Another highlight of the MUK.jazz.festival is the MUK.finals, in which the current graduates present themselves in public Bachelor's and Master's concerts. The young professionals show their personal musical profile with their top-class bands and set out to conquer the stage.
