Rok Zalokar Zhlehtet
Led by jazz pianist and composer Rok Zalokar, Rok Zalokar Zhlehtet presents a new level of creative expression in the jazz world. Through a synthesis of acoustic sound, electronics, and improvisation, it blends tradition and contemporary sound of the 21st century into a musical experience that will calm you while making you laugh. Rok Zalokar improvises on various instruments to develop catchy and inspiring melodies, which then serve as motifs for individual songs. The resulting compositions perfectly balance traditional and modern elements into a musical experience you won’t soon forget.
Teo Collori & Momento Cigano
In an inflationary number of groups worldwide that are copying, replicating or using the repertoire of The Quintet of the Hot Club of France Teo Collori presents his own music just reminding us of that sound. The presence of clarinet associates with the Django’s (Reinhardt) quartet without Grappelli, and in his case, I find a successful contribution to the sound of an ensemble with strings. The partner collaboration of Collori and violinist Krečič is original and enviable in both performance and arrangement. Collori creates music that invites audience to feel and experience, not just listen. His approach to his guitar gives me pleasure and inspires respect. (Pressetext)
Teo Collori & Momento Cigano
It was a chance cinema visit that set Slovenian guitar ace Teo Collori on his current musical path. Already busy as an all-style session player and known performer on the contemporary jazz scene, he discovered a particular passion for the Gypsy Swing jazz of Django Reinhardt while watching Woody Allen's film, Midnight in Paris. Immersing himself in the grand master's repertoire, he gathered around him some like-minded, talented musicians and formed his own Hot Club style band. But this was not to be a tribute band performing covers and emulating the style. Teo Collori and Momento Cigano invoke the spirit of Django through Teo's original compositions, creating a fresh and revivifying take on the master's legacy, exemplified on the acclaimed 2015 debut album Hot Club Piran, and explored and enhanced on four more releases to date.
