Lajos Dudas 'Jazz lesen – hören – sehen' (HU)

Lajos Dudas: text
Emanuel Wenger: moderation

In Zusammenarbeit mit Collegium Hungaricum

Successful presentation of the project as a complete work of art - with reading / talk show, audio and video screen clips - already in Budapest / HALO Cultural Center, in Meersburg on Lake Constance / ART GALLERY and now also in the Jazz and Music Club PORGY & BESS in Vienna.

"World musician Lajos Dudas, one of the great masters of the clarinet, unmistakable and yet broadly diversified, shows himself once again in the CD / book project presented here. Over the past decades, Dudas' incomparably stylistically confident playing has meandered from J.S. Bach to Charlie Chaplin, from Joseph Kosma to Charles Tolliver, from Rezsö Seress to his own compositions.

For all his inner freedom and adventurousness, his lines always remain connected to the two roots of his work, the music of his Hungarian origins and the tradition of jazz, which he expands for his instrument with his own, indispensable voice. (Dr. Tobias Böcker / Jazz Podium)

If you enjoy the spontanelty and creative fusion of Paquito D’Rivera or William O. Smith, then you will thoroughly enjoy the playing of Lajos Dudas. (The Clarinet Journal USA)
