The idea for a concert program for viola and piano emerged from the collaboration in the Sonic Fiction Orchestra in numerous rehearsals and discussions. Two works will be performed that were written especially for this instrumentation (Klement, Graewe) as well as arrangements of compositions by friends and esteemed colleagues (Crispell, Braxton). Immediately afterwards, the duo will go into the studio to make recordings for a CD production, which will soon be released on my label Random Acoustics. (Georg Graewe, June 2024)
