The contrast between the deep-toned double bass and high vocals is the starting point for Helene Glüxam's solo project. The minimalist orchestration underscores the intimate compositions, which are inspired by images of nature such as "Wellensturm" and "Lichtungen". The personal relationship with her instrument and its sound are central to the creation of the compositions and are intimately interwoven. The musician thus opens up a space for herself in which she explores her different voices using unconventional playing techniques and experiments with catchy song forms. Stylistically, her music is influenced by jazz, improvisation and alternative rock, and Helene Glüxam was selected for the Austrian Foreign Ministry's NASOM (The New Austrian Sound of Music) funding program for 2024/25.
