Martyn Jacques, mastermind of the Tiger Lillies, has spent decades on excessive concert tours with countless gigs. He has always painted in secret to calm down from the adrenaline of the gigs and "so as not to go mad", as he says himself.

Countless paintings have been created in his studios in Athens and Berlin, which, like his songs, mostly tell weird, dark and humorous stories.

Martyn paints soul pictures, pictures as the soul would paint them if it could: not pastel-colored and ethereal, but garish, brightly colored, carnal, drunk, absurd, melancholic, angry, laughing sardonically, vulnerable and murderous at the same time.
