Sylvia Bruckner: piano
Radim Hanousek: soprano saxophone
Yoram Rosilio: bass

Valentin Duit: drums

Sylvia Bruckner is one of the best-known Austrian jazz pianists and has developed her own specific style and sound with her compositions and improvisations. Her works range from new music and free jazz to experimental rock music, which she realises solo as well as with instrumental and vocal partners. She is a prominent personality in the European improvised music scene. She has performed with renowned musicians such as John Butcher, Hamid Drake, Joëlle Léandre, Tony Buck, Susanna Gartmayer, Didi Kern, Martin Siewert, and Willi Kellers, among many others. In addition to these collaborations, she also enjoys performing solo concerts, where she can display the abundance of her imagination, inventiveness, and her wide range of expression.

For her new quartet, she has chosen musicians with whom she has worked individually before. These are her former duos, which she has combined to form a classical jazz quartet (saxophone, piano, double bass and drums). In fact, although they are all prominent figures in contemporary improvised music, they all share a common jazz foundation and are still close to jazz in its various forms. After all, isn't contemporary improvised music a direct continuation of jazz - except that instead of European light music brought to America in the form of musicals, it uses the expressive devices of avant-garde and experimental music? All of these musicians have a very wide range of styles and playing techniques in which they move with an ease that might be called creative virtuosity. If Sylvia Bruckner has found common ground with everyone before, and Radim Hanousek, Yoram Rosilio and

Valentin Duit often perform together as a trio, this new combination of hers raises very pleasant expectations. Radim Hanousek focuses on various forms of improvisation, intermediality and projects on the border of jazz and contemporary classical music as an interpreter (saxophonist) and composer. In 2009 he co-founded the Norwegian-Czech jazz quartet NOCZ (Didrik Ingvaldsen, Dag Magnus Narvesen, Marian Friedl). Since 2013, Hanousek has been running his own project combining jazz and contemporary music Dust in the Groove. From 2021, he organizes the 30-60-member PMP Orchestra for the Prague Music Performance
festival. PMPO performed the compositions of Anthony Braxton and Roscoe Mitchell in concert in the presence of the authors. In 2023, the PMPO gave the world premiere of Braxton's opera Trillium X and performed at the Darmstadt New Music Festival. As an improviser, in addition to leading representatives of the Czech scene, he also collaborates with many artists from Switzerland, the US, Norway, Germany, Portugal, France, Austria and Italy (Roland Dahinden, Didrik Ingvaldsen, Hildegard Kleeb, Ayako Kato, Claudia Cervenca, Samuel Dühsler, Yoram Rosilio, Michael Fischer, Iva Bittová, Dag Magnus Narvesen, Rieko Okuda, Tobias Delius, George Cremaschi, Hernâni Faustino, ...). Occasionally Hanousek performs with the Vienna Improvisers Orchestra. He co-organizes FreeForms - the international meeting of improvisers. He composed music for a number of ensembles (Faun Ensemble, Dust in the Groove, Mikroopery, Lichtzwang, Contriology, Radost Ensemble, NOCZ, Corazon Quartet), music for theater performances (Mikro-Teatro, Feste, D'epog, Orbita) and audiobooks (Albatros).

Yoram Rosilio is a bassist, percussionist, composer, leader, producer and organiser. He stands as a leader and composer in the International Big Band “Anti RubBer brAiN FActOrY” (arbf) and in the band Tikkun. Since 2017, he is one of the Co-founders and Artistic Director of the Network S.H.A.R.E : European network for creative music and improvised arts. Responsible of a declined festival, the SPIME, taking place in Paris every year. Since 2016, he is the Co-founder and co-artistic director of the phonographic label LFDS Records, creative Music, based in Paris and of the Artistic Collective Le Fondeur de Son. Since 2015, he has been a resident at Anis Gras - Le lieu de l'Autre - Arcueil - Place of artistic creation within which he bases a large part of his activities. From 2015 to 2019, he co-directed several shows on Radio Libertaire (89.4FM - Paris) to broadcast and publicize a maximum of underground, traditional, improvised music, Free Jazz ... Blues en Liberté and Tumultum Hominum. Finally, Yoram Rosilio take part of "the Bridge", musical creation project between Chicago and Paris, bringing together nearly 140 musicians among the most representative of the both Free Jazz scenes.

Valentin Duit (*1992) studied drumming in Vienna and Lucerne and is involved in various bands and projects as a performer and improviser, including Dsilton, Tobias Meissl Trio, Pynzenyk/Rosilio/Duit, Tobias Pustelnik Quartet, Roman Schwaller & The Organ Grinders, Zencir, Vienna Improvisers Orchestra, Harry Pepl (tape) & The (Lonely) Single Swinger Band, NOCZ quartet, Coastline Paradox, Georg Graewe & Sonic Fiction Orchestra.
