The brand new project by singer and pianist Axel Rosenegger makes every effort, quite wrongly, not to be another rehash from the singer-songwriter corner. But that's exactly what it is, and ironically, it's also very successful: “Rosenegger” combines profound and superficial German and English lyrics with soulful arrangements, humorous twists and musically virtuoso craftsmanship. The Viennese musician knows how to bring powerful ballads as well as nimble pop songs brimming with irony and sarcasm to the stage in his very own way. Anyone who considers themselves a fan of the new Viennese song, really good acoustic pop or tear-jerking songs will feel right at home at a concert by “Rosenegger”.
