On the occasion of the 2nd Austrian Jazz Prize ceremony on November 26, 2025 at Casino Velden, the Austrian Music Council, on behalf of all cooperation partners and sponsors, invites you to a press conference on May 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Porgy & Bess Jazz & Music Club.

Austria has a vibrant jazz and world music scene. To bring more public attention to these creative musicians, the Austrian Music Council (ÖMR), together with mica-music austria, the Ö1 Jazz editorial team, and the IG World Music, secured funding for a new Austrian Jazz Prize from the Federal Ministry for Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport, the City of Vienna, and the State of Carinthia. Other sponsors include Jam Music Lab Private University and Romedius GmbH.

Last year, the Austrian Jazz Prize 2024 focused on outstanding artists who captivated audiences with their projects and musical visions. The gala at the renowned Porgy & Bess provided a worthy setting for the award ceremony. E C H O B O O M E R (2024 Album: Timeless Warrior), Yvonne Moriel (2024 Newcomer of the Year), and Synesthetic4 (2024 Live Act), whose contributions made a lasting impression.
