Júníus Meyvant
Unnar Gísli Sigurmundsson is now known far beyond the borders of his native Iceland under his stage name Júníus Meyvant. With his blend of Nordic folk, baroque pop and old soul, he is able to stir the soul and inspire dance in equal measure.
Nadia Reid
Nadia Reid has already won several prizes in her native New Zealand during her school years. Reid has just released her fourth album with the poetic title "Enter Now Brightness". The songwriter with the unique voice has already shared the stage with musicians such as Ryan Adams, Sharon van Etten and Tiny Ruins.
The Zew
Leonie Schlager uses guitar effects and vocals to create something like cyborg folk. A bridge from old folk songs to the present day. She uses her own visual language: the eyes painted on her face stand for the female gaze. Linked by the theme of flying and falling, her songs tell stories about independence, the desire to lose control and the resilience that can be found in sharing.
Adrian Crowley
Born in Malta, Irish songwriter and poet Adrian Crowley has never planned his songs. He says they just happen. Catharsis? Instinct? Vibe? He calls his current, tenth album "Measure of Joy" a night album. Perhaps it is also one with which the man with the distinctive baritone voice overcomes the night. In any case, the song “Lost at Last” is already a contender for the title “Song of the Year”.
