Jamal Abale & Andrej Prozorov
The new monthly series MUSICAL BODIES by more2rhythm, which was launched in January 2026 by Farah Deen and Mahan Mirarab, will take place for the second time in February in the Strengen Kammer with dancer Jamal Abale and musician Andrej Prozorov.
Dancer and choreographer Naïma Mazic selects a Viennese dancer and a Viennese jazz musician who are commissioned to create a duet lasting at least 30 and at most 45 minutes.
The task is to break new ground in the communication between dance and music, to establish a non-hierarchical dialogue between the visual and the audible, and to share a common pulse at least once. The artists are free to decide whether and how much they want to rehearse and research, or whether they want to meet for the first time on the day of the performance. After the performance, there will be a 7-minute audience discussion in which viewers can share what they have perceived.
MUSICAL BODIES by more2rhythm is a monthly series for dance and music in 2026 at the Strengen Kammer.
