Following numerous concerts and a wide variety of programs during the 2025/26 anniversary season, as well as a nomination for the 2026 Austrian Jazz Prize in the “Best Live Act” category, the JOV presents its current program, “ENCORE,” featuring the Phoebe Violet Quartet.
Premiered in June as the finale of the Porgy & Bess Stageband series, the JOV combines its characteristic orchestral sound with the string quartet of the outstanding musician and composer Phoebe Violet, opening up new sonic worlds. The compositions by Martin Eberle, Benny Omerzell, Phil Yaeger, Tobias Vedovelli, and Phoebe Violet bring together diverse musical styles to create a multifaceted soundscape that ranges from orchestral richness to the intimacy of chamber music.
ENCORE is far more than just an encore. The program echoes two decades of musical discovery and brings an elegant conclusion to an extraordinary anniversary season.
