A genre invented by the band, ‘Psychedelic Shamanic Funk’ is a mixture of shamanic music performed in Pyeong’an, Jeju and Hwanghae Provinces with different genres of music such as reggae, jazz, hip-hop, funk, dance and rock that shows their unique musical personality. Their blend of shamanic music and black music, which does not belong to pop, traditional nor indie, surprised the popular music scene, and in 2021, they were awarded Best R&B Soul Song at the 18th Korean Music Awards, acclaimed to be the birth of remarkable music that cannot find its precedent. ‘Chagi’ in their name means ‘someone’s share’ in Korean. Their music being made by the members Lee Si-mun on guitar, Kim Jae-ho on bass and Kim Da-vin on drums who do their share excellently, it expresses the band’s hope that the listeners will fully take the music of CHUDAHYE CHAGIS as their ‘chagi.’
