...when Christian Mühlbacher’s “USW,...” performs one of its rare concerts, you can certainly expect diversity, energy, and intensity. This large ensemble of soloists is uniquely capable of weaving composition (and thus structure) and improvisation into a cohesive whole that audiences can experience.
Beginning on April 5, 1997, the group has evolved historically from a fully documented series titled “5.4.xx,” which eyewitnesses within the Porgy & Bess community continue to rave about!
...so when the “Mühlbacher Spaceship” (as a friend of the community once so aptly called it) takes off, a special journey lies ahead!
The program for the 30th anniversary year will certainly include highlights from past programs, as well as some hot topics of the present!
