So steht’s im Konzept: Stage Band: „Während eines Zeitraums von sechs Monaten soll einer heimischen Formation einmal pro Monat die Möglichkeit geboten werden, die unterschiedlichsten Facetten ihres Repertoires vorzustellen, Experimente einzugehen, Konzepte umzusetzen und verschiedenste Ideen auszuprobieren. Bisherige Stagebands im Porgy & Bess waren das Upper Austrian Jazzorchestra, TON.ART, Nouvelle Cuisine, Vienna Art Orchestra und das Concert Jazz Orchestra Vienna. 2001/02 war Gansch’n’Roses Stageband, 2002/03 das „Takon Orchester“, ab Mitte 03 war die Jazz Big Band Graz Stageband des P&B. Max Nagl erhielt im Jahr 2004 dieses Podium. Ab der 2. Jahreshälfte ging die Stageband an das Ed Partyka / Flip Philipp Dectet. Weitere Stagebands in Planung: Franz Hautzinger’s Regenorchester, Christian Muthspiel „Motley Mothertongue“, Karl Ratzer & Band...“
Bis zur Sommerpause - um exakt zu sein: am 13. April, 11. Mai und 8. Juni, wird letztgenannter mit seiner „Late Night Band“ Lehrstunden in Sachen relaxtes Musizieren auf höchstem Level geben. Don’t miss it! CH
