The University of Music and Dramatic Arts Graz is Europe’s oldest jazz school and offers bachelors and masters degrees in instumental & vocal performance as well as Austria’s only masters degree program in jazz composition. 155 jazz students from 21 countries learn hands-on with 40 full and part time internationally acclaimed faculty members and perform in 15 ensembles from trio to the large ensembles presented tonight. The first half of the concert will feature new originals and arrangements from KUG composition students performed by the KUG Composers Ensemble. The second set will feature KUG Professor Dena DeRose with the award-winning KUG Big Band in a program of jazz standards. (Ed Partyka)
Die Kunstuniversität Graz, in deren Jazzabteilung u.a.
