Jeremy Pelt (geb. 1976) spielt in der Tradition der Hardbop-Legenden Lee Morgan und Freddie Hubbard. Er studierte Jazzimprovisation und Filmmusik an der Berklee School of Music in Boston, wo er den Bachelor of Arts erwarb. Mit seinem Umzug nach New York City begann der steile Anstieg seiner Karriere, u.a. spielte er mit Jimmy Heath, Ravi Coltrane, Cassandra Wilson, Wayne Shorter, war Mitglied der Mingus Big Band und der Big Band von Frank Foster. 2004 wurde er dem europäischen Publikum in der „Rising Star“-Serie vorgestellt.
