VOJTĚCH DYK & B-SIDE BAND
bandleader Josef Buchta

The unique connection of Brno jazz orchestra B-Side Band and a singer, actor and great performer Vojtech Dyk is currently one of the most desired and watched projects of czech culture. Last year they went to premier tour together. There were 11 concerts in Czech republic and Slovakia. All of them were sold out completely. They also released live CD „Live at La Fabrika“ which very quickly settled on 1st place of music charts for a long time. After that Vojtech Dyk got Czech music award as a singer of the year for this live CD with B-Side Band.
Concert dramaturgy is very attractive. Next to the classical swing music (Kick out of You or My Way of Frank Sinatra) there are also charming arrangements of popular songs (Feeling Good) rock hits (Smells like teen spirit of Nirvana) evergreens (Cry me a river of Ella Fitzgerald, famous czech songs (My grandpa thought me to yodel) or immortal summer hits (It´s aint over till it´s over by Lenny Krevitz or Night fever of Bee Gees).
Successively there are still more and more original songs written for them. Media reviews and feedback of the fans say clearly: B-Side Band and Vojtech Dyk proved that by swing music it is possible to sold out music halls and make audience to stand up and dance.
This summer they were touring open air. There were thousands of people totally amazed by the show. Huge energy, cool atmosphere, stunning stage and light design and also many gags. But still high music quality and great artistic impression.
