We went to see this AMAZING big band at Guga S'thebe in Langa, Cape Town South Africa today. I had no idea what to expect but was ABSOLUTELY blown away. It was like being struck by a musical force - like listening to a record live. This big band play as one - with INCREDIBLE joy, vibrancy, and love for music. I was moved beyond words and even wanted to cry for pure happiness. I don't usually write like this, but I was so moved... if you ever get a chance to see them live, do NOT miss them. It's a life force experience. It made me think of Mr. Holland's Opus. (Eugene Marais, Cape Town)
