Charakter, Authentizität und Dringlichkeit – aber vor allem Groove.
The Next Movement mit Frontmann/Drummer J.J. Flueck, Pascal „P“ Kaeser an Bass und Synth und Gitarren-Virtuoso Sam Siegenthaler sind mit allen Wassern gewaschen. Über ein Jahrzehnt spielen die drei schon zusammen und haben als gefragte Musiker und Rhythm Section (Greis, Nicole Bernegger, William White, Steff la cheffe, Soul Train, The James Brown Tribute Show, Rogue State Alliance u.v.m.) ihr eigenes Album immer wieder rausgeschoben. Die soulige (Video-)Single Superfly markierte 2017 den Start ein neuen, extrem produktiven A?ra. Eine EP später, folgt Ende Februar 2018 die 16 Track starke LP LOUD. Die weiteren Singles (jeweils mit Video) „Voodoo“, „Let It Go“ und „I Wanna See You Move“ werden auf Earmilk.com und negative white hochgelobt. Nach ihrer Release Tour mit über 30 Shows haben die drei Musiker bereits starkes neues Songmaterial am Start, welches als Singles diese Monate rauskommen.
Groove-Pop, R’n’B-Soul mit einem Schuss Funk wäre wohl die Schublade wo dieser unschweizerische Sound drin steckt. Nennt es wie ihr wollt, es ist gehaltvoll und groovt ohne Ende. Vergleiche mit Anderson .Paak und Referenzen zu Prince sind nicht von ungefähr, doch verbergen sich noch mehr Facetten im Sound vonThe Next Movement. (Pressetext)
