Sven Regener, Richard Pappik and Ekki Busch, all three known and connected through the band Element Of Crime, have recorded a jazz album. They play with trumpet, drums and piano twelve classics of jazz, mainly from the 40s and 50s: Pieces by John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie, Billie Holiday, Charlie Parker and others.

Regener Pappik Busch don't need any special reason to play these pieces. Their audible delight in musical fabulation, their unconditional engagement with each song, their joint instrumental forging ahead without inhibitions, reservations, or accompanying notes are self-explanatory. The result is a jazz album of unusual freshness, a carefree romp in a musical world that is not alien to the three, but new and exciting. Hard rain, film noir, melancholy: here we come!
