The band Mokoomba from Victoria Falls belong to a younger generation of Tonga musicians keen to absorb various influences of modern life into an exciting mix of Afro-fusion and seductive traditional rhythms. The band name means “Deep respect for the River”, another ode to the Zambezi. The internationally acclaimed band has performed with Austrian musicians (Karl Ritter, Toni Burger, Franz Hautzinger , Isabelle Duthoit etal.) already 2017 in Ebensee / Upper Austria and other musical events and encounters in Austria.
