The band led by Burkhard Frauenlob captivates with exceptional music: enriched by the three-throated vocal ensemble Insingizi, which specializes in the South African singing style called "Mbube", Yukah shines with gripping rhythms and fascinating harmonies.
Congarilla
Inspired by his stays in Brazil, Pepi Kramer founded a drum group with which he is able to realize his ideas of the musical lightness of Brazil. As bandleader, Pepi Kramer gives his 15-piece Congarilla ensemble the cues and breaks similar to the conductor of an orchestra.
Congarilla's rhythmic concept is an earthy mixture of Afro-Brazilian-Cuban rhythms with Upper Austrian soul. Driving rhythms that get the audience going are the basis of this music.
The band's special feature is its line-up. Divided into three groups with congas and djembes as the main instruments. The congas can be tuned in intervals, the djembes take over the bass function.
