Releasing her debut album 'Heaven Knows' to critical acclaim in 2022, Mica Millar has quickly become one of the brightest new stars of British Soul music, picking up Jazz FM's prestigious 'Soul Act of The Year 2022' award alongside a nomination for 'Breakthrough Act of The Year' and becoming a member of The Recording Academy (class of 2023) making her eligible for Grammy Award consideration for future releases.

Receiving five star reviews and acclaim everywhere from The Daily Express, Music Week, Jazzwise, Record Collector, The Official Charts, Echoes Magazine, Jazzwise and WordPlay Magazine, Mica has also featuring on the front covers of the iconic Blues & Soul Magazine and Echoes Magazine amidst international radio support from the likes of Trevor Nelson, Craig Charles and Jamie Cullum, continued national airplay from avid champions at Jazz FM and Magic FM and live performances and interviews on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour and Clive Anderson’s Loose Ends.

Touring across the UK and Europe in 2023 including a sold out headline shows the iconic Union Chapel as part of London Jazz Festival and packed out festival appearances at Love Supreme, Cambridge Club, Glasgow, Leeds, Dundee, Wigan and Manchester Jazz Festival, Nocturne Live, Cheltenham Jazz Festival and many more. The latter saw her perform a headline show with her seven-piece band, as well as a performance with The BBC Concert Orchestra televised on BBC 4 and broadcast on BBC Radio 2.

She has since supported soul legend Lionel Richie for two consecutive nights at Blenheim Palace and Grammy Award Winning Artist Gregory Porter for three nights at The Royal Albert Hall and will be touring as the opening artist for Motown legend Gladys Knight during her ten-date UK farewell tour in June/July 2024 including shows at The Royal Albert Hall, London and Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

Internationally, Mica took to the stages of Jasmine, Warsaw and Tallinn Music Week, Estonia in early 2023 and has picked up regular national radio play in The Netherland, France and Germany including support from Jazz Radio (France), NPO Soul & Jazz (The Netherlands), WDR, DeutschlandFunk Kultur, Radio Eins (Germany) and many more.
Her debut performance in Germany took place at the sold out Leverkusener Jazztage Festival and was broadcast on WDR National Television followed by a sold out headline show at the iconic Dortmund Konzerthause and a live performance on Radio Eins at Bikini Berlin in November 2023.

Mica’s 2024 tour will see her appear at Blue Note Jazz Club in Milan and TivoliVredenburg (Cloud Nine), Utrecht and Ronnie Scotts, London with further UK and European dates still to be announced.

Mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios, Mica’s debut album ‘Heaven Knows’ is self-written, arranged and produced, exploring themes of human nature, spirituality, love, oppression, inequality and empowerment, drawing inspiration from a plethora of vintage soundscapes, most notably, soul, blues, gospel and jazz.

Mica’s distinct vision is one that has quickly earned her renowned credibility within the industry and it’s her creativity, drive and attention to detail that has made ‘Heaven Knows’ the album it is - a timeless collection of modern soul/jazz showcasing a confident new artist, quickly establishing herself as a new and unique voice in British music.
