The charismatic Scottish-born jazz singer Fiona Fergusson, who is now on the rise in Europe with her warm and soulful voice, has been working with various formations and projects in Germany and Austria for over 25 years. Since the release of her debut album "The Gift" in 2021, which was highly praised by the press, the Scottish jazz lady has celebrated great success on international stages in recent years, where she has performed with the most renowned musicians on the European and New York jazz scene such as Jim Rotondi, John Di Martino, Rob Bargad, Tim Armacost, Oliver Kent, Tizian Jost, Claus Raible, Alan Bartus, Marko Crncec, Lorenzo Petrocca, Lukas Gabric and Klemens Marktl.
As the daughter of a gifted jazz pianist and arranger, she experienced great internationality at a young age. She received classical and modern vocal training in Lisbon, Bavaria and at the Hamburg Singer Academy, but has always remained true to her love of jazz music.
The expressive singer, who now lives in Austria, impresses with her charisma and interpretation, which she brings to traditional jazz with a very personal touch of modern sophistication. The big band arrangements of her father Ken Fergusson have inspired the singer since her childhood and she was already fascinated by Count Basie and Duke Ellington at a young age. Fiona Fergusson now presents her highlight with the Alexander Ehrenreich Big Band, whose bandleader is known to have a musically similar background from his childhood and whose band stylistically guarantees the perfect realization of her program.

Tonight's program spans an interesting musical arc from traditional big band classics in a modern guise (Thilo Wolf, Thorsten Maaß, Adrian Mears and others) to arrangements from the debut album "The Git". Don ́t miss it! (press release)
