The radio.string.quartet presents the third CD in its Elements series - ‘Les couleurs du feu’, the colours of fire.
A string quartet CD presentation including orchestra without orchestra.

In 2019, the composition ‘Les couleurs du feu’ for string quartet and large orchestra, commissioned by the Munich Symphony Orchestra, was premiered in Munich's Herkulessaal to ‘great jubilation and thunderous applause’ (Kreisbote Kempten).
The Süddeutsche Zeitung wrote: ‘....Das radio.string.quartet constructs a musical space in which delicate, melancholic structures are just as possible as a rousing rush of sound.’

And the Allgäuer Zeitung commented: ‘.... a captivating further development of minimal music with simple, spinning melodies, but contrasted with creative chaos, tension and surprises. From rocky patterns that build up ecstatically across all instrumental groups to sacred, hymn-like statements from the brass, a great arc of tension of many archetypes ran through this music of life. This makes symphony orchestras fun and reaches new, young listeners.’

The recording made that evening is now being presented by the radio.string.quartet as a recording and will be performed at selected venues. Since an orchestra for a tour would go beyond the scope of the various stages, the radio.string.quartet has decided to reduce some of the compositions back to chamber music format and thus bring the essence of their work into its unique quartet sound.

The colours of fire are the ensemble members' personal associations with the energy and volatility of this element, made audible in the fascinating sound world of the radio.string.quartet.
