Iranian guitarist Mahan Mirarab and Hungarian percussionist András Dés began jamming together regularly in 2019 after András moved to Vienna. The result was rhythmically and structurally fresh compositions that both pointed in an inspiring direction. That was the beginning of "Mash". The Viennese clarinettist Vincent Pongrácz, who completed the trio as the third member, brought another perspective to the band. His playing, which oscillates between jazz and contemporary music, contributed harmoniously to the band's microtonal compositions, going far beyond the usual musical intersections.

Mash is the meeting point of three exploratory musicians with independent voices full of character. In many ways, they come from different backgrounds. Yet their openness and shared musical language unites them and forms the basis for arranging their similarities and differences in harmony, creating something new from the collaborative work of opposites. A truly contemporary production in the 21st century. The release of the debut album is planned for 2025.
