"Jazz music is the power of now" - these words by world-famous jazz trumpeter Wynton Marsalis aptly describe the music of Alexander's Swing Time Orchestra. The band impresses above all with its energetic and at the same time emotional original compositions, which merge into a kind of "swinging soul music" through the "spirit" of their role models. With energetic improvisations and swinging, groovy rhythms, the band keeps every lover of good music on their toes and invites them to move. Under the direction of bandleader Alexander Kuttler, the 19 talented musicians create a mixture that puts their own unmistakable stamp on jazz and goes far beyond the label of a traditional big band.

With "Let There Be Swing", Alexander's Swing-Time Orchestra was able to produce their first album in memoriam to the great masters of the big band era in 2021. It includes classics that have shaped decades such as Duke Ellington's "Rockin' In Rhythm" and Count Basie's "The Wiggle Walk". The band is now about to release its next album "Swinging Colossus", which will be released in February 2025. In addition to concert series such as "Swinging Colossus feat. Florian Bramböck" (2023) and "To Duke With Love" (2024 / Treibhaus AT), the group has already gained stage experience on the national and international jazz scene.

The „saxophone colossus“ Florian Bramböck is well- established in the Austrian jazz scene and considered to be one of the most important contemporary jazz musicians of the country. Florian considerably shaped the sound of the band not only by playing with us regularly for performances but also by various other musical interactions with members of the band. Alexander’s Swing-Time Orchestra will tour national and international venues to present Florian Bramböck’s new album „Swinging Colossus“ which will be available on CD and vinyl as well as all major streaming platforms. By showcasing compositions by Florian Bramböck as well as Gabriel Gstrein (lead alto), the band demonstrates its musical versality on the new album. Powerful brass and saxophone sections and outstanding soloists give the musical pieces an energizing dynamic. With „Anywhere“, the album even contains a hitherto unreleased title written by Duke Ellington. Being a mixture of studio and live recordings, 1 the album is a musical feast for jazz and music lovers.
